Probaste reinstalarlo, o defragmentar el juego? (aparece en las propiedades) Siempre q alguien tiene problemas con un juego de steam esas suelen ser las soluciones.

Steam me vendió un juego para el que le faltaba algo (el CD key correspondiente) que yo necesitaba para poder usar lo que compré.
En un mundo copado, no me lo tendrían que haber vendido sino hasta que tuvieran las keys.
Pero me lo vendieron igual. A mí y a otros cuantos.

Y no es algo poco común. Les pasa seguido.

JAuajua Lux eso fue mala suerte, no se. Jamas me paso algo asi, obvio que algun quilombo vas a tener alguna vez, porque es un sistema complejo. Pero en general siempre anda bastante bien.

Los peores peores Steam.

A muchos de los que les apareció el problema, ya lo resolvieron. Magicamente, porque claro, era un tema de Steam y sus putos settings.

Pero los forros de soporte me respondieron esto:

Hello,

After sending my original support request, I found the solutions you mentioned and already tried them to no avail.

- Running Steam as Administrator didn't solve it.

- Regarding the regedit permissions procedure, the result was that I didn't have to do any of that.
When checking the Permissions for the VALVE key, the accounts System, Admininistrators and my own Admin user already had Full Control and Read enabled. [Actually, they are enabled and grayed out so I can't activate nor disable them... because, well, they are already activated]

- I also tried the Verify Game Cache Files too.
I did that for both Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead (not simultaneously but once at a time).

What happened was that for both games, the system found 1 file failed to validate and proceeded to download it. A small "file" was downloaded (for Arma2: OA, for instance, the system downloaded about 1.4 KB) and told me it was ready to play, but the COULD NOT CONTACT KEY SERVER error persisted.

I re-run the game cache file verification. And the same notice of "1 file failed to validate" appeared. I tried it a third time and observed the same behavior.

Notice that this occurred for both Arma 2 and Arma 2: AO. However, one of these games (Arma 2) was playable while the second wasn't.


Bohemia Interactive support replied to a similar request on my behalf that this was a Steam issue and that you guys had to solve it.
I checked the user forums and it appears this issue has been solved for some users...

I'll try to obtain the key again later, when I get home. But I wish I had received a little more honest response from you guys.
Something along the lines "We observed this issue for many users and detected it was a problem on our servers. It should be fixed now. If not, try this: ...." instead of providing a seemingly generic troubleshooting such as this by default.

If not, I'll contact you again to ask for further instructions... or eventually, a refund.

Pero nunca nadie me robó info, ni me viruseó nada, ni tuve problemas locos... y no tengo que hacer nada raro para parchear windows, q no me joda con UH UH ES PIRATA y poner fondos.

Por qué a mí con un Windows 7 no original no me funca, pero a un amigo con Windows 7 tampoco original, sí?

Claaaa ahora además de comprar juegos originales tenemos que pagar windowses originales. El mundo se va al tacho =(.

Obvio que todavía no es así pero va a serlo, se las van a ingeniar para obligarte a tener 100% original y pagadito.

Sigamos seedeando mientras bajamos no se pasen al dark side snifffff.
